Everything you need to get building

From first key to first deploy — the complete guide to LocalSiteAI.

Getting started

LocalSiteAI generates complete, SEO-structured local business websites from a short wizard. To get going you need two things: an account and an AI provider key.

  1. Create an account — free, no card required.
  2. Add an AI provider key in Settings → AI Provider.
  3. Click Create Website and complete the 6-step wizard.

Connecting an AI provider

Generation runs on your own API key — you pay your provider directly and keys are encrypted at rest. Six providers are supported:

  • OpenRouter — one key for hundreds of models (recommended for starting out).
  • Azure AI Foundry — paste your resource's target URL, API key, and deployment name (e.g. gpt-5.5).
  • OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, NVIDIA — paste the API key from each platform.

Use Fetch models to load the live model list for your provider, pick a default model, and press Test key to validate. The provider marked Active powers all generation.

Creating your first site

The wizard walks through six steps:

  1. Business basics — name, niche, city, contact info.
  2. Keywords & services — what you offer; use the AI suggestion buttons to fill lists fast.
  3. Service areas — the cities/suburbs to target. State-wide mode builds a service × area page matrix.
  4. Design — template, colors, and layout.
  5. Blog — optional SEO blog posts (800–1200 words each).
  6. Review — confirm the page plan and start the build.

Generation runs page by page in your browser — you can watch progress live, and it's safe to retry any page that fails.

Editing & SEO

Every generated page can be edited in the visual editor before you publish: click any text to rewrite it, adjust images, and manage SEO metadata (title tags and meta descriptions) per page. Custom prompt sets in the Prompts Library let you control the writing style for homepages, service pages, area pages, and blog posts.

Deploying

Three ways to ship a finished site:

  • Netlify — save a personal access token in Settings, then deploy with one click to a .netlify.app URL.
  • Vercel — same flow with a Vercel token.
  • ZIP export — download the static site and host it anywhere.

Bulk generation

The Bulk Generation page builds many sites in one run from a CSV — one row per site with niche, city, company details, and keywords. Ideal for rank-and-rent portfolios. Each row becomes a full site that shows up in My Websites as it completes.
